Meet Mrs. Friday
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I have a long vested history in our school and our community not only as a Teacher but as a former student as well. I am a product of Morgan Hill Unified. I continued to stay local after graduating from Live Oak by attending San Jose State University where I earned my degree in Behavioral Science and completed my teaching credential. This school year marks my twenty-first year teaching. It is my dream job! The tremendous growth that our students make is amazing and rewarding, which is why I can not imagine doing anything else. Although, I have taught for several years now it’s never the same experience. Each year is new and completely different because of the personal experiences and interests my students bring with them into our classroom. The teachable moments that my students’ interests and discoveries bring into the fold of our curriculum are what makes each year unique and rewarding. I enjoy getting to know each of the families in my care and feel privileged to serve them. I am committed to working with our students and their families so if I can ever be of assistance please let me know and I’ll be happy to help. My philosophy in the classroom, which I work very hard to impress upon my students is very simple, “You do not have to be perfect… you just have to try your personal best”.
When I am not at work I enjoy reading. I have many favorites; however one of my most treasured children’s books is, The Giving Tree by, Shel Silverstein. It is the very first book that I purchased for my own daughter’s library before she was born. I never truly appreciated how quickly time passes until I became a parent myself. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with yours.
